Hi! I’m Jill
I’ve loved art my entire life- any medium, any way, creating things by hand always came naturally. Even when life moved me in different directions, that part of me has always remained. I went on to earn a degree in business because it felt like the most logical path at the time, but I never stopped feeling drawn to my own creativity and dreams. Motherhood only made that pull stronger, as I want to show my children that you can truly do anything you put your mind to. I took the leap and it has been the most amazing journey. Diving back into art has brought me so much joy, and that joy is reflected in the vibrant, feel-good art that I create.
My work is made up of oil paintings with bold colors and texture, as well as digital illustrations that hold a ton of detail. No matter the medium, my art is always inspired by all of the beauty in the world around us and the things that I love most.
Vibrant Oil Paintings
Painting has always been such a relaxing process for me. Just over a year ago, I really leaned into oil paints and never looked back. The buttery smooth paint + a vibrant color palette is the perfect combination. Often times, I will play around with palette knives and leave brush strokes as they are. I’m a firm believer that the texture left behind is what really brings a hand painted piece to life.
I enjoy challenging myself to new subjects often, but mostly gravitate toward the things that bring me joy in life. If I’m not creating art, you would probably find me in the kitchen making something from scratch or trying to make my way to the ocean, so here, you’ll find plenty of coastal art as well as food inspired paintings.
Digital Illustrations
In 2025, I bought an iPad specifically so that I could use Procreate. It took some time to learn all of the tools but after using it almost daily, I’ve found my own unique style and an amazing way to express myself creatively whether I’m on the go or just feel like cozying up in the couch.
I love creating illustrations that have so much detail that you have to stare at it for a while to take it all in. For every single piece, I incorporate brushes that I create myself in order to achieve a real canvas texture, as well as watercolor brushes to get soft but buildable shades.
My digital illustrations are mostly inspired by places and destinations, where I add hundreds of little touches to bring them to life. Other times, it serves as a little sketchbook for me and I draw out what is speaking to me in the moment.
