Dockside Duo, a two piece set of 12x12 inch oil paintings, is inspired by my love for the ocean and the beautiful sea life that you see while at the coast. Whenever I visit the beach, my family loves looking for little creatures and admiring them. Created with rich red hues, both the crab and the lobster are so vibrant, they are practically popping off of the canvas. These coastal creatures lie against a minimalist background, where the beauty of their shiny claws and deep colors can be the true focal point of the set, while still resembling the ripples of deep blue waters.
