The Pastel Crab first came to my mind when I was visiting Topsail Island in 2025. I was walking on the beach at night and came across so many tiny crabs moving across the sand. While my initial reaction was to run away from them, I thought it was adorable the way they were so small yet moved so quickly. I instantly knew that I wanted to try my hand at painting a crab, only I wanted to add my own person touch to it. So it became a vibrant, colorful crab against a pink canvas. This oil painting easily became a favorite of mine and many others who have followed my art journey!
